Worrying Number of Users Now Engage in Vaping, Warns Global Health Organization

The vaping statistics are a projection since numerous countries - 109 in total, and numerous in Africa and Southeast Asia - do not gather data.

Based on the report, as of recent February this year, at bare minimum 86 million e-cigarette consumers were adults, mostly in high-income countries.

And at minimum 15 million youth between the ages of 13 and 15 currently engage in vaping, based on surveys from 123 nations.

Although many countries have attempted to establish e-cigarette policies to tackle youth vaping in recent years, by the end of 2024, 62 countries even now had no regulation in place, and 74 nations had no age restriction at which e-cigarettes are allowed to be bought, reports the public health authority.
