The Initial Xbox Game Pass Games of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.
Across the gaming landscape, fans keep sounding the death bells for the green team. Microsoft's console just got outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Xbox fan sites began covering on PS5 topics for the first time. 2025 was complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. But if we're going solely off what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it becomes clear that the green gaming company remains determined to engage players with strong games on its flagship service.
The Immediate Additions
The two games currently accessible today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. Instead, the excitement lies in what's arriving to Game Pass soon that's truly noteworthy.
Major Titles on the Horizon
Starting January 13th, the subscription service will add the often-overlooked Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that deviates from the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "a superb mixture of horror and action."
Intriguing Niche Additions
Yet, the less-hyped additions arriving shortly on the service deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike offering thrilling gameplay, becomes available next week — and you should try it even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
The British post-apocalyptic game from last year could captivate you in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the makers of Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Those with the top-tier subscription also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.
A Well-Rounded Collection
Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that justify the service in the first place. However, this batch of games are rock solid. There's a good mixture of past releases that passed you by and relatively recent releases that failed to receive the spotlight they were due initially — rendering them excellent choices to find a new audience on Game Pass.
Be prepared to part ways with The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
